Similar to Galaxian or Space Invaders, in Phoenix, you command a laser cannon, and you attempt to shoot birds from the sky. You have to kill a number of different kinds of birds (sometimes you just blow their wings off), then you must defeat the alien space ship by shooting through it and killing the alien pilot.
